Fntastic have released a brand new 10-minute gameplay trailer in order to showcase The Day Before and where it’s currently up to however it’s not exactly what we expected. The video comes just weeks after the decision to delay the game for a further 8 months due to a trademark issue.
The gameplay showcases very little, with the character essentially roaming around 10 whole minutes and killing 4 zombies in the process. It feels like a desperate attempt to win back the players after their decision to further delay the game, leaving players questioning if the game is a “scam”.
The Day Before was the second most Steam wish-listed ever and appeared to be one of its kind, with a slight mix of The Division and The Last of Us. However, the fans appear to be losing hope due to several delays and promises which haven’t been delivered, as well as poor gameplay footage. One disappointed player said, “This looks like something that was put together in 10 minutes.” when referencing the most recent gameplay trailer.
Unfortunately, I feel like it’s going to take a lot for players to get back on board with this, if that’s going to be possible at all. Hopefully going forward we will be able to see more gameplay, which has a bit more action. What are your thoughts?
