CS:GO is a highly competitive FPS game which requires a large amount of skill and time in order to be the best. A lot of the best players rely on the best maps in order to practice and be the best. Below we are listing the best workshop maps available as of 2023, based off popularity and overall rating.
crashz’ Crosshair Generator v3

This map has been one of the most subscribed for longer than I can remember. Firstly released on the 31st January 2014, the map became a massive hit due to being unique and since then has amassed over 39 million subscribers, so that tells you everything! You can choose a crosshair from one of your favorite professional players, as well as customising it with various colors, sizes and styles, then test it to make sure it fits and plays exactly how you want it. Definitely the best map out there for choosing a crosshair.

Another one of the OG maps out there. Aim Botz has been popular from the beginning and continues to be super popular amongst professional players and casual gamers like myself. It’s the perfect way of practising your aim, flicks and using weapons you may not be so good at. You have various options available, including giving the bots full armour, no armour and even making them move, making them harder to hit. It’s perfect for a bit of morning practise before going into competitive.

Another entry from crashz’, who comes in with his viewmodel generator. The map is pretty simple and will allow you to change your viewmodel to fit exactly how you want it. It’s a lot easier than playing around with the config manually and you can see exactly how it looks in real time as you change it. You also have the option of some preset viewmodels such as 3kliksphilip, who is a famous CS:GO YouTuber.
Recoil Master – Spray Training

The recoil master map has always been my go-to for years since I started playing Counter-Strike: Global Offensive as it’s simple, yet effective. You can pick from the wide rang of guns available and test each one to check what the recoil pattern is like then replicate it yourself. The map has become one of the most popular recoil training resources out there with over 8 million subscribers and continues to be used by thousands.

CSGOHub is relatively new in comparison to the others on the list with release in 2020. Since its release, it amassed over 5 million subscribers and rightly so. CSGOHub is my personal go-to for all-round training as it offers pretty much everything in one place. You have the option of warmup, aim challenges, prefire, movement, spraying practice and crosshair generator. You can also select whatever knife you want to use while you are using the map. The prefire challenges are especially good as they challenge you on real maps in real scenarios with common spots enemies will play. A very good overall map for anyone looking to improve in several areas.

The Yprac maps are my favorite and most used maps to date. The reason for this is because this collection has all sorts of different maps built into one and it’s not just one singular map. Yprac have created an incredible way of learning every single map with the best smokes and molotovs, as well as peeking practice to ensure you are on top of your game. They have a map trainer for each map and several other options available, including recoil and bots training. You really don’t need much more than this and this should give you an immediate advantage over other players as you gain valuable knowledge on maps and grenade usage.

The jumps training map is as simple as it comes. It will help you learn those harder jumps on maps regularly played in competitive. One of those key jumps being the window jump on mirage, which many people tend to struggle with. It’s a great bonus to the other maps in this list and will further develop your knowledge of the maps and allow you to get into better positions, and quicker!
Bonus: Dreazc0v’s collection of maps (a fantastic map creator with various maps for all sorts of different purposes)
Summary
The winner out of all the maps has to be the Yprac collection as it has literally everything. You can learn smokes and molotovs, while becoming a master of peeks. The CSGOHub training map is a close second however it’s just too hard to even compete with Yprac and what it offers.
