The highly anticipated follow-up from The Forest, Sons of the Forest, has surpassed 2 million players in just its first day since release.
The game has been one of the most highly anticipated titles on Steam since it’s announcement due to the success of the developers previous game. Since then, we have seen the game go from ready for release to ready for early access, however, players are still very happy with the game, with the game receiving a 85% score from players and a very positive rating.
The game hit 350,000 concurrent players on the day of its release and the team at Endnight Games confirmed the game has been purchased 2 million times in just 24 hours, which is a massive success considering the decision for the game to release in early access, rather than full release.
The team said, as seen in the tweet above, that they “are very excited for what we have in store for players in the coming weeks”, which would suggest some vital bug fixes and further content being added.
